Welcome to Booner Ridge. When looking at this property as a whole, a number of things will stick out. First you will see multiple areas of great cover consisting of dense cedars, tall bedding grass and mature hardwood timber. These big chunks of cover offer seclusion as well as creating great pinch point locations for strategic stand placement for numerous wind directions. Secondly you will see a series of mowed trails allowing for easy in and out access to multiple sections of the farm. These trails not only provide easy access to the farm but lead to the food plot on top of the ridge and to the mowed plot on the west corner that could be converted to a food plot as well. Thirdly as you move towards the northern section of the property you will notice a very distinct hardwood lined ridge that dumps down into the creek bottom. This has to be one of my favorite attributes of the farm offering a gorgeous elevation change while creating a natural deer funnel. While taking photos of this property large rubs and scrapes were highly prevalent. Not to move the highlight from deer to turkey but every spring the toms roost in the mature walnut groves in the creek bottom and every morning fly down and strut on top of the ridge. Even with turkey numbers being down across the state this farm consistently holds many toms every year.
