How do our cash rent auctions work?
- Land owners provide us with written authorization to advertise their farm for rent
- Land owners provide us with basic farm information including verifiable tillable acres
- We market the auction publicly and send the information directly to our huge database of farmers.
- Farmers bid online for the opportunity to lease the farm
- Farmers are given the options of submiting a detailed, confidential applications describing their farming operation
- The process generally takes 30 – 60 days but can be tailored to owner requirements
- At the conclusion of the advertising period, the owner will review the applications and bid results
- The highest bidder will be given the most consideration, however the high bidder will not automatically be declared the winning bidder. The owner/lessor, at the conclusion of the auction reserves the right interview bidders and select a farmer of his choosing.
- The land owner, or the land owners representative, works directly with the winning applicant to prepare and execute a lease agreement
