Seeking Land up to $15M – 5th generation farm family seeking to relocate their row crop operation

If you’re a large land owner considering selling or maybe a retiring owner/farmer that doesn’t have someone in line to take-over your operation, I’d appreciate the opportunity to have a confidential conversation with you.

I’m working with a 5th generation farm family seeking to relocate their row crop operation to Missouri from a state that tends to be dry. They have buyer interest in their existing farm(s) and have decided to execute the sale and make the move, pending my ability to locate a suitable replacement(s). This client is not an investor, but instead a young family with 2 children, and a 3rd on the way. They’re active in their local community and church, and look forward to continuing this in a new hometown. He has a Masters Degree in Ag Science and his wife is a Registered Dietitian. They are partners in their family farm with his parents who will be relocating with them.

He told me, “We want to carry on the legacy our family before us has blessed us with, and we believe doing so in a more sustainable farming region such as Missouri could be just that.  Our amount we could conduct business within is $10M-$15M. A 1031 Exchange is what we’d hope to accomplish as well“.

The ideal farm or farms would be highly tillable row crop with soil to support a consistent corn/soybean rotation. They are accustomed to raising corn and cotton, as well as some hard red winter wheat, sorghum, and soybeans.
